The project explores resolution both in terms of an image resolution as well as resolution of an object. In designing and assembling elements into the massing for our project, we were interested in combining these different resolution elements that allows for a material, textural, and spatial bleed from high res to low res and vice versa.

Though making a strong formal statement on site, the building roots from site ontologies and images, recoding information based on facades projections, acting as a holistic piece in Chinatown, playing with the defamiliarization process, but of its own identity.

The idea of discreteness is employed both in terms of ontology discreteness as well as the image discreteness, through photogrammetry techniques and texture mapping process. The amalgamation of elements manipulates the part and whole relationship.
